Miktek C7 vs TLM102

VRMG is now a Miktek endorsee and they sent us a C7 and my gosh do I love this thing. It's like a U87 without all the crap I always fix with a U87! Also has an internal switch to change the voltage and choose between modern which I did in the clip, or a more vintage U47 sound. Both mics using the same chain. Wife-Mic-ISA Two-Saffire 40

To us, both sound great, but completely different. Miktek is clean, pristine, and in your face. The Neumann is warmer, rolled off high end, a hair scooped. Both incredibly useful and the Neumann is GREAT for screamers and heavy singers because of that tone.

Do you know how the C7 compares to the CV4? Lurrrrve the CV4!

From what others say, it's very close with the CV4 having more of the tubey lows. I don't care for tube mics actually which is why I went with the C7.

Sounds great! Been thinking about selling my AT4060, since I'm not using it much... might have to check this one out!
