Hmmm, featuring "former and session musicians" from WINDIR, ZYKLON and SOURCE OF TIDE (meaning probably one guy that was in all three bands, hahahaha, seriously I don't know), upon first reading their bio I'm not quite sure what to expect. There's mention that they were once signed to Sound Riot Records and they are now with Samoth's Nocturnal Art Productions.
There's a KREATOR vibe to all of this, if you ask me. It's technical, yet brutal and catchy at the same time. However, I suspect a drum machine, either that or we have a drummer here with a lack of ideas. That's ok, I still listen to CANNIBAL CORPSE after all of these years. What I really do enjoy on MindTech, are the guitar textures that are used.
Not bad, don't rush out and get it, but if you see it and there's nothing else in the store that wets your tongue, pick it up. I think you'll be glad you did.
