I recently purchased this artist's debut release off of Relapse and I'm compelled to profess how great it is. I suspect that anybody who's a fan of black metal in any of its many facets could find something to enjoy about this record. The style is of the more symphonic variety, with touches of traditional second-wave black metal as well. Has anybody heard it? If so, I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on it.

Relapse??? I have the same album, but it is released by Red Stream. Anyways, I think it is an amazing album. Very doomy black metal with classical influences.

Hey, another thing we agree on. We're on a roll. lol ;)

Actually, perhaps I wasn't sufficiently clear, but simply because I purchased an album from the Relapse online-catalog does not neccesarily imply that it was released on their independent record label. They happen to possess a rather abundant supply of merchandise that does not pertain to the Relapse label. Pardon my ambiguity. :)

The album was indeed issued by Red Stream, Inc. and I'm pleased to see that I'm not the only one who has taken a liking to it.

That makes more sense. :) Thanks for clearing that up. I picked up this cd about 3 months ago at a local music shop in the used section. You would be surprised at the amount of great music that people get rid of.
