mix chek pls?

can anyone help me make this mix better? (i am not a pro)

im not sure about bass balance and guitar EQ...

i mix on mackie MR8 and ATH-M50, i'm never sure what source to trust...




I got my good'ole UV77bk for this one, it was my 1st "serious" guitar and i still love it after all these years!

I got that guitar 12 years ago. I was on tour as sound tech when we stoped in Montreal for 3 weeks. I had 800$ cash and i saw that guitar in a store for 1800$ (almost new, but a customer had droped in on the floor, so it was full of chipped wood on the back)

at the time, i was making 368$ per week, i gave my 800$ and gave 330$ per week, leaving me with 38$/week to live and eat for 3 weeks!

It was worth it

Nice mix and nice piece of music man. Enjoyed it much!!!
There's not much i can hear on the mix besides (first short part) in the beginning that the drums sound a bit seperated from the rest. That's all it's not a big deal. Love it.
Love the guitar sounds on 1.45 and the effects. What are the rest of instruments and plugins you are using and other things?

hey thanx a lot man!

the bass was an ibanez 6 strings (btb 776) drums are Metal machine and synths are various Vsti

the guitar sounds are comming from an Axe-fx II into sonar 8.5 with a bit of post processing (using wave stuff)

i agree drums in the 1st section seems a bit out of place... i should make them a bit lower and add a bit of reverb i think...

anyway! thanx a lot for cheking this out!
