Mixing bass guitar

Here's a look at mixing some bass guitar and drums. I used a Gallien Kruger head for the bass with an 8x10. Love using CLA bass for some of their distortion and used some other waves stuff... Hit me up for details or if you want to get a bass thread going!

Sounds great! Really powerful. I would love to know more details, specially about the compression!

I like to get the compression going gradually but by the end have it very stiff and compressed.

A little comes from the API 2500 (Waves)

Then some comes from the actualy CLA bass plugin.

Sometime I add a CLA 76 (waves) or 3A

And then if that all doesn't do the trick I use a simple compressor at the end to finish it off

Cool tone! In what order did you chain the compressors and which one is doing what(fast\slow attack\release). And what distortion are you using?
