Mixing Bass like this?

Hi Everybody

can anybody help me to get a sound like in this Video ?

I use a Jackson JC Bass and go straight into my interface.
I use also Waves / Fab Filter and Steven Slate Plugins.

Try separating the bass into different channels. You could use an Ampeg style amp for the main tone, DI for the sub and then mix in something like a darkglass sound for that telephone zingy/string sound. Neural DSP do a darkglass plugin, give it a demo. boost around 750hz and 1.5k for that zingy sound.

You ain't gonna get that unless you use a P-bass pickup. Sounds like he has a blend to me (P and J, though from memory his sig has a soapboar in the bridge, P in the neck). But the P is the core of that 'grunt' tone.
