Mixing crit on Melodic Hardcore Mix (The Ghost Inside, Parkway Drive style)

So I'm mixing and mastering an EP for a hardcore band, been mixing a lot the last days so I need some fresh ears on this one. They had some pretty specific requirements and they didn't want it to sound overproduced like most metalcore bands these days. Hey!

Here's my feedback. Taking into consideration that they don't want to sound overproduce I like the mix in general but I think that the drums (drums or cymbals, i don't know exactly) can be a little loud in some parts like the verse, so it covers up the vocals.

I'm recording one song for a project like yours (not so pro ) and they want the same thing, sound ¿organic? (I don't know if its correct). And the thing that they liked more was to get the dirty guitar sound that you get with a mic'ed amp, getting dirty too much.

I can't listen right now, but I'm glad to hear other bands going for that sound. That's my goal with my band's EP: make it sound polished and modern without sounding robotic. My plan is to use real everything too. Drums went great. Now I just have to get my hands on a decent bass
