Hey guys, I just got some JS samples (bass drop, snare 1, truth B+G drums, truth emerald cymbals) and i was wondering how i exactly wud i mix these with steven slate samples? i have ssd 3.5 platinum, i haven't taken the time to upgrade it nor do i have the extra money lol but how wud i mix these samples?
the kind of snare sound im going for is the snare on Breathless by Asking Alexandria especially at the intro. That snare sound just sits really well with me and I was wondering what samples do I mix and what post-processing do I need to do to make a snare sound like this?
another question, I have kick 10 and snare 12a loaded into Kontakt Player, and should I have the overheads on or off? what is room, and what settings shud i have for things like character, direct mics, and room mics? im new to this whole mixing samples think and im just wondering
also the snare 12a doesn't "feel" as loud as other snare samples I have, so how shud this sit when mixed with another snare?
