Hi guys, my name is Charlie Munro and I am an aspiring freelance mixing/mastering engineer. I am looking to build my portfolio by working with as many artists as I can and improve my skills as a sound engineer.
I have recently graduated from a Masters in Music Engineering and Production. For my major project I self-produced, recorded, mixed and mastered an instrumental progressive metal album, and achieved a distinction. I consider this to be my highest quality work thus far, although I am always looking for ways to practice and improve. Aside from working on my own material, I have worked on a variety of projects for other people over the past few years. I have experience working with both live and programmed drums, as well as both clean and screamed vocals within the genres of rock and metal.
I have a lot of experience working with virtual drums, both transcribing, programming and humanizing. I have transcribed many songs by ear, including technically complex tracks by bands such as Periphery and Protest The Hero. I can provide drum transcriptions with negotiable rates, dependent on the complexity of the track.
For mixing, turnaround would be between 3-5 days per track. This could potentially include some basic editing, but tracks that require extensive humanizing or quantizing would of course take longer. If you are looking at getting multiple tracks for an EP or album please give me a message to negotiate a price. I am also happy to make revisions to mixes provided the changes required are laid out specifically, so as not to waste time.
Also, for now I will offer one mix and/or master for free as a demonstration per client, no future commitments required just give me a PM if interested!
