Hey guys, iv'e recently been mixing and recording my band's ep.
we play melodic metalcore\hardcore, we've finished recording all instruments,
only vocals are left to be done.

im quite happy with the results, but i think i can do even better with some help.

I uploaded 2 breakdowns from one of our songs, it'll be nice to know what you guys think.

setup is :

Line 6 UX2 for guitars
Addictive Drums + joey sturgis custom snare

umm that's it i guess.

thanx :D

If you're going for that whole Sturgis sound, I guess it's okay. My advice is try using something other than PodFarm or whatever you used.

As samskie said, the guitars sound like a VST. The edits are pretty harsh, but if that's what you're going for, then more power to you. 0:24 sounds like a completely different guitar tone. The drums sound a bit robotic, and the kick sounds like this hollow mid-boosted thud inside of a can.

ill try to take down abit of the low mids and overall volume of the guitars , and yes they are lowpassed
