Mixing questions, messing with the lows (mp3 inside)

Hi! Yesterday i've finished remixing one of my band's song. It's much better than my recent mixing workouts, but still not good enough. In comare of Joey's We Came As Romans or Of Mice And Men albums my attempt sounds weak.
I'm started from the bass guitar, then added other instruments, using eq to avoid of clipping cause of freq conflicts. On the master i have C4 compressor and L3LL ultramaximizer. Without C4 my mix sounds friable.
I'm almost satisfied with the guitars, bassguitar, drums, with the common clarity of the mix. Highs are good for me too, but i can't get punchy, huge lows, whatever i do. If i get much more lows - then i loose loudness. If i maximizing the mix to get loudness - my lows get down.

I'm appreciating every advice you can give.

Did you try to work with a multiband comp or on the eq of the master channel???

It sounds pretty good but Like Nico said, I think it could benefit with some tightening of the lows in the mastering.

Yes, that's the point. I used quadband comp on the master, especially deep compression applied to the lowest band, about 0...140 hz.

So... Why my mastering limitter eating my bass? And what can i do?
