Who Will be the manager when Cox retires - Either Ned Yost or Tommy Glavine

Well I cheer on Chicago teams. So Cubs and White Sox. I follow the Cubs closer than the White Sox. But really while I'm cheering for both this season, there are few players on either team I really care much about.

And I'm one of those guys who starts cheering for the team I live closest to. For a year it was the Nationals (their first season). But for the last 4 years its been the Braves. In college one of my friends was a big Braves fan, so I got to know more about them back then. Growing up without TBS meant I wasn't exposed to them regularly. I know the Braves team the best right now. I like their team.

Jman, Tommy looks like could be great, but he needs to be more consistent at AAA. He'll get there. I think he could get called up if any of the starting rotation goes down. Especially since the Braves just traded away one of their relief pitchers (not that Tommy will be a relief pitcher).

The Braves have a chance to make the playoffs this season. Need better mid-relief pitching, and need to stay healthy. Hopefully Braves are still in the running when Hudson returns from his injury late in the season.

But damn if the Braves don't have one of the best starting rotations in baseball. Jurrjens, Lowe, and Vazquez. What team has a better top 3? I think Kawakami will be solid.

And if Hanson becomes consistent, I think he will if he can get back to McDowell, who is a great pitching coach, and then to be able to sit next to Lowe and pick his brain

I am a die hard Cubs fan. I don't like the AL one bit. I DID cheer for the White Sox when they made it to the big game.
I also cheer for the Cubs because it irritates Shane, Tess, and Annie..... :heh:

Favorite Braves highlight - Otis Nixon's climbing the wall against Cincy to take away a homerun.

Still considered one of the Top 5 or 10 catches in the history of the sport. :kickass:

My favorite highlight is probably The Slide. It's one of those moments in Atlanta history where everyone still remembers where they were. I was at a friend's house watching the game and when Sid Bream improbably beat that throw to home, I remember spontaneously running outside and honking the car horn...and all around, everywhere, all you heard was car-horns honking in joy. One of those moments you never forget.

Well, hell, here it is. Bottom of the ninth, Game 7 of the NLCS, winner goes to the World Series, Pirates up 2-1 with David Justice at third and Sid Bream at second, Cabrera at the plate:

Braves have no chance this year.

Jurrjens is good, but still very young. Lowe is solid. Vasquez is great as long you don't plan on making the playoffs. Talk to the White Sox about that.

Cubs rotation is far superior to the Braves. Not even close really.

Right on, man!:headbang::kickass:

Huge Marlins fan... Off to a really good start, but we played the Nationals 6 times already LOL.... A road sweep of the Braves was nice, though... So was beating Johan Santana.
Welcome back, Lucas!:headbang::kickass: I saw the Braves play the Marlins last year. I sat right next to the visiting bullpen. Chipper hit his 400th HR that very game!

There is nothing like the excitement at Fenway... just good luck getting tickets. The last game I took in was $60 for standing room only... and that was a couple of years ago. Sheesh.

I got some crappy seats at fenway a couple years ago for about 70 bucks each... It was a great game! :)
The sox were down 6 - nothing in the 9th... and they won 7-6... The place was rocking.

Zambrano is overrated and overpayed. He has no consistency. This year he's starting off like shit. So its not even a case of pitching half the season as an allstar, and the other half as 5th man at best.

Harden and Dempster haven't been very impressive so far. Compared to how the Braves starting rotation has pitched, there is no real comparison. Braves are better. Braves have the best starting rotation in their division. Innings 1-6 they have the 5th best team ERA. Now they just need to get some runs.

Are the Braves playing a 1:00(early afternoon) game on either Saturday or Sunday of PPUSA weekend? If so, some of us oughta go to a Braves game together. Whaddaya say? Sometimes they play Thursday afternoon games, as well. Lemme go check their schedule.
