actually.... I DO... but likely that's because I've been drinking so much, and I always pick up an accent (either scotch or irish) when I'm drunk

I tend to become more irish when wasted. My mother is Irish and i lived there for 11yrs, and then moved over here with my scottish dad...so my accent is naturally really mixed.

I'm not sure what irish and scots accents becoming the norm when wasted, say about us tho!

In my case it's because my mother's family is from Scottland and basically anytime that side gets drunk it's pure brogue... (which violently clashes with me dad's side which is a weird mix of German, Mexican, and Asian)

The only point I make is that between my size and my weird mixed ancestry I can drink Scotch, Tequila, Schnapps and Sake in vast quantities without it doing much damage... alcoholism is damned universal... damnit.
