Mobile recording tracking headphones

Hey all, I'm looking to buy some isolation headphones for when I'm mobile recording that will allow me to listen to a source such as a loud amp, and then move the mic to get the best position without obviously hearing it from the outside. The headphones would need to sound quite good as well if I'm to judge a good sound to record. Cheers

Umm I dont think any headphone out there will give you enough isolation to be in front of a blaring cabinet!!

According to his posts, Jens Bogren uses those cheap Vic Firth headphones for that purpose exactly.
I have KRK KNS8400 (bought them for isolating problem frequencies, but for this very purpose as well), which reportedly have isolation up to 30 dBs or something (Vic Firth have up to 24 dBs or something). Haven't tried'em for guitar tracking yet. I am curious though, so I'll try it as soon as I can.

I'm using Sennheiser HD 280 pros for this purpose. They have pretty good isolation. I do have a little trouble judging the tone I get from the mic through these, but I think that's more due to my inexperience on miking cabs.
I hate the coiled cable by the way...
