You might be able to get the gain you want without adding another gain stage. Just changing a few resistors in your existing gain stages (lower values should give you more gain), and maybe a cap in the tone stack can make a huge difference (good or bad).

About adding a gain stage: It's not a big deal to me 'coz I'm a electronic technican and I had worked many years in a electronic company in the R&D department.
And to Hopkins, yeah, electronics can be very addictive.
Hehe....right now I've to much to do in studio and live, but next time I will try some of these tips from the tone-lizard site. I'll report about the results then.
