Why am I the only one besides Mike to mention Zombies as a good thing? Zombies is the shit.

I prefer Black Ops, although Im in the minority among most MLG and GB kids that I know/play with. Its a lot more balanced with the omission of some really cheap perks and weapons, and the maps and spawns are a bit better. Still, its not perfect. Its extremely laggy and the hit detection is a random fucking mess.

Zombies never much appealed to me, to be honest.

Im a pretty well rounded shooter player. Unreal, Rainbox Six, Ghost Recon, Killzone, Socom, Call of Duty. Good enough.

I hated Black Ops, it looked different, felt different, and played different. I hated all the maps too, super shitty. Only redeeming quality has already been mentioned, the zombie mode. MW2 was way better.

I like Black Ops but I don't like as many of the guns. A lot of the early assult rifles annoy me and I think many of the submachine guns are completely overpowered. It's ridiculous that I can lose in a shootout using a Steyr AUG at around 200m by a guy using an AK-74u.

The only sniper rifle I like is the L96a1 as well. The other ones I find kind of boring. My opinion on rifles in games is very biased though because I am interested in rifles and own some myself, so I like to try to be all OMG ELITE FTW and be a sniper but I'm not that good at it. I mostly use the M60, L96a1, Commando, AK47 and Steyr, with the m14 thrown in there sometimes.

I love the zombies mode! I think it's way more fun than the Special Ops part of MW2. Special Ops was fun but zombies adds a whole level of fun and entertainment to games that are mostly serious otherwise. I love playing the WaW zombies mode with my little brother on the big russian level with the power-ups and uprade to all the cool weapons. It's really satisfying to sit and kill zombies running at you over and over again.

I want to be able to choose the quality of my opponents.
Most of the time i prefer having superior opponents, otherwise you wont get better.
But then again, sometimes its just so fun owning up a server so hard that you get vote-kicked for "cheating".

I still don't understand why Matchmaking is a good idea.
Yeah PC server browsers may throw you in a game full of people that have prestiged a million goddamn times while you're level 5, but that's what'll make you improved, as stated above.

Counter-Strike is a great example of this. A couple of weeks of getting your ass handed to you in a trial by fire and then eventually something clicks and you just get good, just like that.

i enjoy playing MW2 with my friends more than black ops, and i play it to this day. that's the bottom line!

Well I'm part of a Tactical Realism clan that plays CoD and we think that BlOps is mostly ok. MW2 was an abomination designed firstly as a console game and then ported to the PC so as to make them more money. It took away our dedicated servers where we could police the players and kick idiots and ban hackers. What we got with MW2 was a game aimed at fat 12 year old kids on their XboX's and us hardcore tactical gamers got the shaft. We have our dedicated server back but with almost none of the control we had with all the C0D games up to W@W but the Ban button is worth it.

But yes it is funny to see unsuspecting players wander into our server where all the clan members are using military tactics and squad formations. The pubs get frustrated very easily by players who work together, practice together, have strategy and communication. But then we are a competitive clan and not just some random dudes living in their moms basement.

i understand your frustration man. i wish i had the time or the means to be on your side on the argue but right now i'm renting an apartment, which means i have to work while recording my album so i'm just playing at my friend's house, who BTW lives in is parent's basement haha....

Just finished BlOps campaign yesterday morning. All this brutal violence for entertainment purposes weirds me out nowadays.
See I played the Bulletstorm demo and had no problem because it's juvenile as fuck and it knows it, but Black Ops took itself so seriously.. Weird.
Bit where Mason trips out was cool as hell though
