OMFG Moonsorrow kick major fucking ass!

Where the fuck have you people been hiding them?!

No, seriously though I just heard them for the first time and I'm very impressed. I don't think they can dethrone Thyrfing or Amon Amarth for the Viking metal crown but they're contenders.

A question though...My favorite song I've heard so far by them is a shorted version of Jumalten Kaupunki from their newest album I think. How does it compare to the rest of the album? If favorably so, I'm gonna have to order this...fuck eating this week. \m/

Yeah, Moonsorrow is a great band, a bit annoying that they only sing in Finnish, but still a great band!

Yes I have all MOONSORROW albums and they are very good, new CD "kivenkantaja" solid all the way with no filler, best overall album I would say...........who can tell us what the nordic rune symbol means on cover?

Also previous album "voimasta" is very good

Moonsorrow rule indeed. You really can't go wrong with them and based on their last two albums, I believe they have indeed taken the Viking metal crown. Amazing stuff...

Moonsorrow are the top viking metal band right now IMHO, the new one is far slower, with less black metal, but it is epic, epic , epic,

Moonsorrow are amazing indeed. My favourite band all categories. I think all their albums are solid but "Kivenkantaja" is their strongest thus far imho. EPIC as hell!

Well the snake is just a snake and the sun-wheel is just a sun-wheel Inside the snake it says (in the futhark font): Moonsorrow. And beneath the snake figure it says (also in futhark font): Kivenkantaja (= Stonebearer)....
