Moontower keyboard

hey!

I would love to know what Keyboard was used in the Moontower's recording session, also I would love to know the name of the sound (yeah, the prog keyboard) used.

I would love to know if there is any VST keyboard sound similar to that!

I don't know the exact keybord Dan used, but on most Roland synths you can get a similar sound using the Legato Jupiter, or Square Synth patches. If you have a full blown synth at your desposal, it's not that hard to make a similar sounding patch. Dan's synth sounds great with the moontower instrumentation, but maybe not so good with other stuff. Be creative, and don't just settle for a copycat patch, get in there and play around with shit. You'll be amazed with what you create.

I used a slightly modified patch called "Dual Minis" from a JP8000 from Roland
It´s based upon 2 "supersaw" waveforms and kick ass...
I suggest that you get Pro 53. The patch "Open lead" is a nice replacement.
