Some bearded fellow started telling me about his pristene Possessed vinyl collection at Masters of Death last night, due to my wearing of a Possessed shirt.

I feel a bit disgraced that I have no vinyl collection to speak of.

Well I have a signed Saxon 7", that's actually it.

I just don't have the disposable cash to buy music I can basically never listen to.

I don't have a whole lot, but I plan on getting more now that I have a decent system. Well, compared to what I used to have it's decent, anyway. I have about 30 LPs and around 10 7"s I believe.

I have an unnumbered Agalloch/Nest split that I got from JWW and a few other vinyls...too bad I don't have a needle for my record player

The thing is, Vinyll just isn't all that great. I have a pretty good turntable, and yes, especially with Doom, you get a nice, warm sound to the bass frequencies...however, the care you have to take in not only handling but also storing it makes it a major pain in the arse.

The best thing about vinyll is the larger area for the art, and the heavyweight feel of it in your hand. So to speak.
