just the other day my copy of Morningrise arrived.. ended up paying double the usual retail price, but oh it was worth it.. but anyway, i look at the cover and im just wondering, Where and What is that building on the cover?

great cover choice.. really fits the scene of the album, and since i havent been able to find the answer to this question anywhere, i hope its not one of those things that will just prey on my mind constantly until i find the answer lol

anyone at all? thanks :)

MU: What is the picture on the 'Morningrise' cover?

MA: We did not know at the time. Our label boss for Candlelight went on holiday, and they went to this place. I can't remember the name. He actually walked on the bridge or whatever it is. He sent me a postcard with the exact same picture that we have on the cover there but with color. It's some kind of tourist place in England.

oh wow thats great, thansk for that :) definitely sets me off on a course to find where/what the bridge/building is on the cover.. if i find anything, i will be sure to post it here

and thanks for the welcome. i just discovered this place recently.. and wow, its great :)

yeah you would think so.. but they gave credit to a 'Tuija Lindström' for the cover photos, so that should cover any trouble they mightve got in

and the internet is a big place.. you never know what you can find if you look in the right places and making do with what resources you have.. i guess they call that kiwi ingenuity ;)

Yeah well done OneFootBlaster :)

she is the Professor of Photography at the Institute of Photography and Film at Gothenburg University in Sweden.. and looks like shes done plenty of Exhibitions.. and a few photos look reminiscent of our Opeth album cover

pretty cool photos all the same :)
