Morrigan

yes they are pretty good. also please DO NOT refer to the sons of don as "vikings", unlike certain supposed "indo-european radical traditionalists" within the alleged "metal scene" would have you believe, the Germanic tribes have always been and will always be the ravagers and destroyers of Celtic tradition, language, and way of life.

Good band, very Bathory influenced. In fact, I think that their older material is like old Bathory, and the new album is more like Hammerheart-era Bathory, with predominantly clean vocals and everything.

Nah. All their albums sound the same; they all have the aggressive thrashers and the epics. As far as the epics go, the first album had "Where the Angels Keep Silence", Enter the Sea of Flames had "Anam Cara" and so forth... Even back in the Mayhemic Truth days they had these distinct two faces
They sound similar to an extent. But the new one definitley has more clean vocals than the others did.

Uh...there is a highly notable decline in aggressive songwriting album to album. It's very hard to miss. The first album was almost exclusively The Return... to Blood Fire Death era Bathory, whereas the new one is almost exclusively the Viking Era. I think the quality follows the same pattern as the aggressive songwriting as well.

I agree to an extent. I also like the other albums better than the new one. I think Plague, Waste and Death is my favorite.
