Most profitable distribution form

For the people that do make their living off performing/mixing/producing; what's the most profitable distribution form for you? I don't necessarily mean format, digital should win (might not). Rather, if you put out a new album and there's a CD, amazon mp3, itunes, spotify, etc. Which of those gives you the most money back? I'm asking out of curiosity because so many good bands out there seem to struggle even when they're successful and if there's a method that gives them the most back I'd prefer to use it when I buy.

CDs and iTunes. Amazon is also ok.

The rest of all the outlets isn't worth using at all. All of them combined are less than 1/10th of my iTunes income.

Yeah, what sammy said. You want to be on the streaming services for exposure and the legitimizing factor but the reality is you'll never see real money from them relative to other income streams.
