JOHNNY KNOXVILLE as Nikki Sixx, huh? I gotta say I don't know what to expect from the big screen version of "The Dirt". It could be great, or be a total flop. Anyways, it got my wheels turning and I started thinking about who could round out the cast in playing our favorite bad boys of rock n roll. Here are my picks....

VINCE NEIL - Fat Vinnie should be played by none other than JOHN LOVITZ! Have you ever looked at a picture of the two side by side? It's the same freakin' guy!!! If John won't do it, though, I'd have to go with Meatloaf.

MICK MARS - Mick should be played by the one and only NICK NOLTE, because he is the only actor still living who is as haggard and insane (and old) as Mick himself! And of course if Nick can't do it there's always Kurt Douglas.

TOMMY LEE - Let's see...who could pull off the roll of Gumby? It would have to be somebody that no matter how bad they treat and beat a lady, chicks still love 'em. OJ Simpson? Tommy is quite the fan of ebonics, these days....or how about that damn Ben Affleck? He's about as empty headed......

Hey, just so you know there's no bigger Motley fan than me...but haven't you noticed how they've become such a parody these days??!?! I don't know if SIXX should reform or just let it go....

But while we're at it....WHO DO YOU THINK SHOULD PLAY THESE GUYS?!?!?!

Stick a fork in 'em. Motley has no pulse left, I think Nikki would like to reform the band for one last go around. There's too much working against them. Is Mick even alive?! Can Vince stay out of trouble between now & then? If so, will he quit drinking? Can Tommy prevent another Meltdown, now that he's back together with Pammy?! If so, how will those two(Vince & Lee) get along? The tour would literally be day to day with those two...
Can Nikki keep it in his pants? Too many things have to come together for there to be a tour. And the movie? There will be no movie. I don't see a demand for a Motley Crue movie, maybe a Decade ago or so....
For the record there are one of my favorite bands, but they are done.

I agree, Dana Strum is awesome! Also a good producer I think (The Wild Life sounds awesome!).

Mark Slaughter would be played by Johnny Depp I think in the Vinnie Vincent Invasion story...

Nikki Sixx is an awesome bassist indeed! And I'm glad somebody mentioned Gene Simmons too... although I hate the guy's management of Kiss in the last 5 years or so and I think he's a wanker and I hate his voice haha, he had some really awesome basslines on the vintage Kiss stuff!! Songs like Love Gun, Detroit Rock City etc wouldn't have sounded half as good without those awesome bass grooves.

Paul played most of the bass in the non-makeup era though, I don't know why.

Gene does seem like a cocky prick and he seems to be the type that would steal your wife if givin half a chance But I do like his voice sometimes Like on Unholy it just works on that song :p

Yeah some songs it sounds great: Calling Dr Love, War Machine, Not For The Innocent, Unholy, Domino....

But alot of the songs Gene wrote I think he should've given to Paul to sing because they would've sounded alot better.
