The show was a major success for me!! Took pictures from the photo pit and interviewed LEMMY!!!! m/

And yeah, met Kirsten and Courtney in the crowd after doing the photo gig m/

It was great seeing you in the crowd! Yeah, Court and I managed to squeeze our way to the front of the stage, which was no small feat given how impacted the crowd was. In fact, we ended up on the edge of the pit, and I seriously prayed to Something to give me the strength to make it through "Ace of Spades." :zombie: And, indeed, I made it out alive, with teeth intact and no black eyes, but with yanked out hair and crushed and bruised feet. :headbang:

I wish I woulda caught the opening act. Rock on, Motorhead!

I saw Motorhead on their first show here in Minneapolis in late August. Great show but am glad that I found on spot away from any of that pit nonsense. Security must have dragged about 8 guys out of there. All during the concert, one after another, they were dragged out in a headlock. Most violent show that I ever attended.

Was so nice to finally hear / see Lemmy live. I love the music, just hate some of the criminal type element that the band can attract.

I'm actually quite shocked to hear that about Motorhead crowds in the US. When I saw them in 2008, I was about 3rd row on the left for Saxon, left to get a drink and pretty much walked back up to the space I'd just left once I'd got my drink. When Motorhead came on, I was expected a big crush down the front cos that's just what I'm used to experiencing when a band kicks off but there was no pushing or shoving at all. Everyone was just pumping their fists in the air, headbanging and singing along. It was a very pleasant change I have to admit cos I could watch the band up close and have a great time without worrying about trying to stay upright or whether I could breathe or not.

Great a setlist as that is, it's lacking "Motorhead" and has for years. :erk: It's my favorite track, too.

Did anyone catch them on Jimmy Kimmel? I got that on my DVR.

Oh I wish there was more of the fist pumping, headbanging and singing along at our shows rather than the mindless pushing and shoving

I find that many douchebags come to the show only so that they can have a nice excuse for getting drunk and stoned out of their minds and picking a fight with anyone who comes in their way.

I liked the Anaheim show better than the LA show. For me, always, the smaller the venue, the better the show \m/

I was surprised myself cos the British metal crowds are among the most brutal in the world. One of the most violent pits I was ever in was Megadeth in Glasgow at the start of 2005. In my experience, the British crowds are a "good" brutal tho. Yes, the pits are violent but if someone goes down, everyone is right there helping them back up. The energy is usually great and it makes for an all round fun show. But depending on where you are, this kind of camaraderie doesn't always happen. Dublin is a prime example, with people more interested in getting drunk and being arseholes than enjoying the show.

I was speaking about this with one of my friends and we both agree that we find that American crowds tend to be ALOT tamer than European ones. I've not been to a huge amount of shows in the US but she has and with the exception of a few, she says she's found them quite tame. This was obviously not the case for these shows and it obviously varies from show to show and place to place.

Nice setlist!!!!!!!! They never played Bomber last time I saw them!!!!! Argh!!! That's one of my faves along with Metropolis.

No Bomber? :| I thought they played that at every show. It's a setlist staple!

I can vouch for British crowds being brutal. I once had my glasses broken at an Anthrax show, the morons deliberately slammed right into me! I wasnt anywhere near the mosh pit....The worst though, was Megadeth in Glasgow, February 2007. There were these idiots causing trouble even before the show started. When "Sleepwalker" started, they started squeezing into me really hard, and it took me nearly the whole song to get away from them! I never fully recovered from that, and I missed 2 and a half songs due to being in the first aid area, and my fun was ruined. Next day, I heard other people complaining about the same idiots...I hate people like that, who only seem to be there to act like complete numptys!
