Motorhead and Anthrax Tour!

Yeah, Motorhead are one of "those" bands that I want to see while they're still going - especially as they have some killer songs.

I've managed Judas Priest and Maiden a couple of times each,
next up is Sabbath, if they play again that is.

Anthrax rule too. Just as long as they play a few tunes from "Spreading the Disease". :headbang:

I understand that Motorhead are going to bring down the 'bomber' at the Arena gig as they did at the Brixton 25th Anniversary gig (Eagle and I were there for that one). It'll be well worth seeing. As a Motorhead fan of long standing it bought a tear to my eye...

If anyone hasn't seen Lemmy and the boys go and see them if you can ...they never disappoint live and they leave your ears ringing for days after. Teamed with Anthrax ...wow!! Wish I could go myself.

As for Hawkwind... a bit of a strange mix...and usually attract a totally different crowd!! It'll be an experience if nothing else.

Here's what Adam thought of the show

The gig on Saturday was awesome! There were four bands in
the end: Skew Sisco (female fronted hard rock band),
Hawkwind, Anthrax and Motorhead.

Hawkwind were actually awful. They looked mashed and each
member seemed to be playing a different song. However as
soon as they went on "joints" were lit across the arena and
everyone seemed to get into it. The saving grace of their
set was the fact that they had fire-breathers on stage and
THE Arthur Brown made a guest appearence for a couple of
songs - he was great. They closed with "Silver Machine"
featuring Lemmy on voclas and Arthur Brown doing a funny
dance. All in all it ended on a psychadelic high note.

Anthrax were truly bloody amazing. Their set was a great
mix of old and new - Caught in a Mosh, I am the Law,
Anti-social, Bring the noise - all the classics. The new
material is pretty good too. Charlie Benante's drumming
defied belief.

Lemmy opened the Motorhead set with the quote above. That
sums it up nicely. Loads of old and new songs. They
current line-up of Lemmy, Phil Campbell and Miki Dee seems
to work nicely. It was worth the £25 just to see the
"Bomber" lighting rig in action. They closed the set with
Bomber, Ace of Spades and Overkill. My ears still hurt
today!

I think Sonata Arctica is one of the best power metal bands, very straight in the face, flying keyboard and guitar solo's. But all the other bands mentioned here rock asswel, so does Power Quest, love their music
