And I would spend those 500$ for something that improves my mixes or my recordings...not for something that simulates a shitty compression

This is what I should have been saying.

Sonnox can make a shittifier plugin as many times as they want, but jesus christ in a tuxedo shirt, do they have to make it so ridiculously expensive?

I'm all for reference mixing, but this idea could have been put to better use without all the hype.
