Tracked these guys at the weekend and will be doing final mix on Tuesday.
Real drums.
Tuned to drop A sharp. (used a "D" bass string for the low A sharp on guitar)
DI tracks and Mesa Triple Recto 57/421 tracks included for guitars.
Overhead left is hats side. Everything else should be obvious.
24 bit 44.1K

Replace ohs track with this

The ohs in the full file exported as mono by accident.

My rough mix for the band to listen to before the final mix.

Look forward to hearing some mixes!

dankeschön!

what's up with the kick_trg, snr_trg and tom tracks?
how did you get that weird sound?

oh and I don't ger it, which tracks are your overheads?

china r_bip and OHS_bip?
sounds weird.

sorry for those stupid questions.

Didn't realise google docs required you to sign up to anything.
Since megauplpad is gone I don't know anywhere else to upload it.
There is a stereo overhead track, china r is a close mic on a china to the drummers right.
Trigger tracks are audio recording of Roland triggers which give a nice clean signal to use with slate trigger or whatever.

just curios but how is it possible that roland triggers pick up kit sound like mics?
if you listen to KIK TRG_bip.wav for example, you can clearly hear the cymbals and stuff. didn't know that was possible.

Contact triggers are basically piezo pickups like the ones used on an acoustic guitar so they pick up some spill.
Still much cleaner than mics. The drummer was hitting really hard too.

Is it me, or is the rough mix clipping like mad? Or is that just the fizz from the Recto that I'm hearing?

This was a rough mix at the end of tracking and hammered into ozone for level.
One thing I have learned is never to give a low level rough mix to a band.
I will always give a rough mix at about -12rms. Pro bands understand that a rough mix is just that but most bands think quiet = bad quality unfortunately.

Here is a list of mics etc used.
Everything EQed on the way in through A&H ZED-R16.

You are right.
The overheads exported as mono for some reason.
Here is the stereo bounce. Delete the old overhead track from the session and replace with this stereo version.

I have re-amped the guitars with a Mesa MK4 for more crunch with less fizz.
I will upload them when I get a chance.

this thread shits me.
It appears I have my first internet stalker.
kronk, PM me and let me know what your problem is rather than posting shit on my threads.

Thanks for the tracks! Song is good, quality of the tracks are great :)

Here is my 1st draft

You might wanna turn the volume up a bit. There is nothing on the masterbus except some compression
