Hey, does anyone know how to setup a multi out in Kontakt 4 (Logic Pro 9)? For drums mainly, so I dont have to set up 8+ different tracks when I want to use a plug on a particular drum.

Thanks!

It is ridiculous to route into logic. If you want to route it so you can route into audio you will end up with 3 times as many tracks. I'll try to post the video later that I learned from but there has to be an easier way

I've actually been wondering how you do this in Pro Tools for a long time now... I always end up having to print the tracks so I can add plugs...

1) + new instrument track
2) select kontakt 4 (stereo multi output)
3 you'll see a tiny little cross (+) in the bottom right hand corner of the new instrument you just created
4) Click it till you get to Aux 11 (im assuming your using SSD)
5) then you need to go into kontakt its self after you have all your drums inside there
6) make sure each drum corresponds to each output. e.g go to kick 5 and make sure it says "Kick" on the output. Go to snare 22 and make sure it is "Snare". Toms say "Tom 1" or "Tom 2" etc
7) Then you want to go to the built in mixer in Kontakt and make sure each track is in corresponding order. Kick should be "Out put 1-2" Snare should be "Output 3 - 4" Tom 1 should be "Output 4-5" etc
8) Or just open one of the SSD keyboard kids and the routing should already be set up

DONE

Make sure you save the routing in Kontakt as your default so you dont have to do that every time you open a new kit or change drums around
