I haven't heard this Dream Theater song before... very cheesy. I am tired of them ripping off other bands. When they did "Awake" and "Images and Words," they didn't have to blatantly steal material like this. They are WAY too talented to justify this.

funny stuff... a big part of this is likely nothing more than standard song structures being overused. song structure is taught at music colleges like Berkley, and they drill formulas into your head, like ABABC or AABAAC, etc, etc..

Yeah, I know these standard structures. You can hear it in the most popular songs. But this Nickelback and DT stuff sounds like maybe they thought: ..oh shit, I have no new ideas, lets recycle a old song that had worked and make a new hit.
