Rush : Rush in Rio pawns any competition, set list, image, sound, a crowd going nuts on instrumentals and singing every note, a band at its peak.
I love when the crowd starts the "we are not worthy bow" thing during the Free Will instrumental section.
Those brazilians have 10 million times more the energy of the lame german crowd on Rush 30 ( still the DVD is a must own and mandatory). It seems the band is disturbing people who are ready to go to sleep. What a shame !
Metallica : Live Shit Seattle. THAT is metal. Nothing more to say really.
The San Diego show is great two (Justice Medley babey !)
Dave Matthews Band : The Central Park Concert. Even if you hate the band, give it a try, the energy level is high and the playing epic ( Carter Beauford play circles around 90% of metal drummers !)
U2 : Live At Slane Castle. Seing a sea of men and women ( approx 150 000 !) getting crazy during Where the Streets have no name is a sight to behold.
Plus the venue is fantastic.
Peter Gabriel : Secret World Live. What a line up : Tony Levin and Manu Katché !!!
WHitesnake : In The Still of The Night. Coverdale still amazing after all these years. And the versions of the songs are amazing, more hard rock than ever. Jimmy Page attented that show by the way.
Toto Live in Amsterdam : Toto live lets loose !
Gov't Mule : 5 hours of Jam blues/ hard rock with the greatest bassists on earth : Roger Glover, Victor Wooten, Jason Newsted having fun on Sab tunes.
And if you are in gangsta mood : Dr Dre : Up in Smoke is a lot of fun !!!
