Music of Mass Destruction

when they play A.I.R, dan is not on stage. maybe he couldN't play the songs yet. and some of his soli are really weak!
Yeah, so where the hell are the opening arpeggios coming from?! The DVD looks great, but is it just me, or does the audio not quite synch? I dunno, strange. Almost seems overdubbed, or something.

Ohh lets get the conspiray theories started right away...

It's no theory it's fact. I was there, and there was NO solo in A.I.R. They dubbed in the whole thing later. Spitz DID in fact walk off the stage a few times.

Anyway to stick on topic, I love MOMD. My only complaint about it is that Frank did not get his own section like the other guys did. I even liked the kick drum. Beefy-clickity is ok in my book.

I think spitz was having amp trouble during air - he had heaps of amp trouble on the early reunion tours.

The thing that shits me about MOMD is the un-naturally loud crowd participation that ocasionally kicks in.... other than that is all good.

Did you notice on "Alive2" how Spitz keeps vanishing during the set?
During a couple Solo spots the camera isn't even on him, and when they panned out I didn't see him on the stage?!........:err:
his guitar fucked up. they overdubbed him in afterwards.

The only downside to that DVD was the crappy sound of the bass drums and how bad Bush sounds on some of the songs. He was great on all Bushthrax songs though.

MMD rules... as does Alive 2 - sound wise I think Alive 2 just edges it.

I still feel NFV is the definitive Anthrax live VHS. The energy, the crowd, the outtakes, the whole package is just superb.

`We're Pirates!'

Hey Scott, you mentioned that you are in negotations to get this gem to DVD - Is that still a goer?

The crowd noise isn't unatural. It wasn't beefed up at all. From what I know, they actually turned the crowd down on the album because they were so loud. Chicago :headbang:

I remember being like 12 and getting that on VHS and being in awe of the whole experience. Great stuff

Jesus, same thing here!!! I spent an entire summer just watching the video on loop (my atpe is unwatchable now!). But yeah, the whole thing was just..... "Oh my God!!!! This is the coolest band ever!!!"

Me and everyone I was with were screaming our lungs out. This ranks as my top Anthrax show of all time. Safe Home had been on the Radio for quite a while and the crowd was pumped for this one. Thrax at Clash of the Titans in Chicago is a very close second.

MOMD... is the best.. I think a few NFMB members made it on that DVD!!!!

Watch John's video at his home .......Bush's Hot sauce!!!!

If you watch Scotts segment in the extra's, look closely at the crowd in the Glasgow Garage and you will see a tall skinny bloke jumping out of time with the rest of the crowd near the bottom left of the screen. Thats me :) Im famous.

No. You can find it super cheap on ebay and half.com. It is only available on vhs though unless you can find it dubbed on dvd-r but people are selling those illegally.

Or you can Download it... I have about 95% of it DL'd before WinMX decided to fold.... quality was ok considering it came from a VHS source.

Worth seeing alone just for the hilarious live performance of I'm the Man. I still laugh my head off with that version.
