Music publishers seek stringent punishment for websites disclosing lyrics

EDIT: That's bullshit, how is spreading tablature and lyrics stealing from the author? Most bands supply lyrics on their websites anyway, and anyone with half a brain can tab a song.

tabs are getting banned again and people are freaking out, while i'm too busy laughing. why? because:

1) tabs were banned 10 years ago, and nobody gave a shit. OLGA.net was shut down, so instead of being an active website they just put up links to like 40 mirror sites.

2) tabs are gay as fuck anyhow. if you need tabs GUESS WHAT YOU SUCK AT MUSIC. use your ear, fags. if you have no ear, you shouldn't play an instrument.

I don't NEED tabs but I find them handy sometimes. If there's something I can't really figure out I can double check a tab. I mean yeah chances are the tab is wrong as well but it might steer me in the right direction at least, blah blah. etc.

yuo = musician and therefore bypass my gay rules.

i think you know the types i'm talking about tbh tbct lwp etc.

I rarely ever use darklyrics anyway. I reckon it is mainly a haven for frantic downloaders, so the law would be in the first place directed against piracy.

Still a few albums out there don't have their lyrics printed out and it's cool to be able to check them somehow, like ...

I think tabs have their place:

1 - for people just learning to play
2 - for someone who knows how to play, but can't quite make out what the musician is doing in a given part of the song, either because it's too complex or it's buried in the mix.

That said, every musician I've ever met, that was truly talented, learn to play be ear.
