Ran across this on another forum. A lot of it is rather "jazzy" but I find the section on modes particularly good. Great as a refresher or an introduction to theory.

Gave it a quick glance over yesterday, there are a few minor errors in it, but nothing that will confuse the careful reader. For example on page 4: "an "11th" in a 4th an octave higher and
a "13th" is a 5th an octave higher." A 13th is actually a 6th an octave higher. You get the idea.
