Do you think all the flack that Megadave has gotten from pulling out of a n appearance due to a "satanic" band is warranted? I suppose he made a public statement, I personally, would have just said a "personal" matter came up, but that's just me... It seems like he's going back on his word about being a new man, since Dime's death. It seems like the old Dave is creeping back, though I must say that he is toned down a bit. So it's more like Dave"Lite."

Don't know what you're talking about, but Dave has been a volatile personalilty since the dawn of history.

On the other hand, who cares? (no offense Droogie my son), you can view it from two viewpoints:

a) Megadeth lost all relevance after "Youthanasia" (or before) and ergo is a waste of time dealing with him.

b) Megadeth still makes good music/good shows and therefore since the product is good no once should cares about the rants IMO.

it was only a matter of time you cant really go and change who you are just because some Jabroni got shot sure it had an effect on him but once it wears off he will be back to Bitching about Metallica and Kicking everybody out of his band every 6 months like normal ...good ol Dave hahaha

Cryptic Writings was Relavent to me FANTASTIC record actually ... it was Risk that left a bad taste in my mouth ... and now it seems every album Megadave puts out is Hailed as "Return to Form" BULLSHIT if it was a Return to Form A. he wouldnt turn down anyfucking Shows even if they had a "Satanic" bands there and he wouldnt be doing this Ballady Dribblry with ocasional power chords and distortion ... yeah System was a Little heavier ... but its still only Megadave .... hahah What were we talkin about

I personally don't care for the Cryptic Writings album at all, even though it was very popular. The last two deth albums have been pretty good IMO.

Dave has always had an attitude and been a dick but I always dug him. For some reason he pulls it off. You can't change overnight and I think it was all a misunderstanding with this Satanic band. I think it was Rotting Christ if I remember reading right. Whatever, It doesn't matter to me as long as he puts out good music, which he has with the exception of Risk. I actually really like Cryptic Writings also. I think that was a real good progression they made on that album. Then they went to hell and made Risk. They made strides with TWNAH and now TSHF is alot better than that. I look for the next CD to be a real return to form!

god damn, every day when i go on the computer i go to megadeth.com to see if there is any news on them breaking up or whatnot. At this point, things are looking up, Dave seems to really like this lineup, and I do too. Im kind of thinking that they are taking steps towards a new album and such, because Dave previously stated that he would disband megadeth after the BTU tour....but then came up with the Gigantour idea, so he must have some flicker of hope in megadeth yet.....I dont know, im just hopefull as hell, and ive got my fingers crossed, so we'll just have to wait and see! :Spin:

Savaron always makes sense! Fucking cool dude! .... My complaints with Megadeth extends from Elf being gone ... I know hes a shithead personally but I have always loved HIS bass playing and without it it isnt right IMO hes one of those players that made me want to play so I am loyal no Elf no JD

The band was a Greek Blackened Thrash metal band called Rotting Christ.
and compared to some of the stuff i listen too theyr'e really not that satanic. Him
and Ted Nugent should form a gospel band together. Freakin hypocrites. Sorry

The only Cryptic Writings songs I really like are Shewolf & FFF. I'm bored silly of most of the album... Trust, Almost Honest, Use the Man, Secret Place...

I like CW too, but some songs were really baaaaaad. In anycase I was pointing that in either way, that the band fall from grace or that you still like them his rants shouldn't be important.

A satanic band? Maybe the Satanic Penguins, or Stryper, or Menudo
