My EP is finally out for Free Download!

My band is not quite as bodomy as my contributions to the COBOT Forum Albums, but I think many of you guys/girls will dig it as a lot of you are pretty big melodic death, progressive, and powermetal fans :D

I hope you guys find it refreshing compared to all the carbon copies and generic stuff that's coming out of the US.

There's a download link in the middle of the page for the whole thing+art, or you can just preview the tracks in the player.

Thanks a bunch, hope you guys dig it!

Sorry dude. Not my thing. It really sounds like typical metalcore with nothing new or flashy. Trying to be bruuuuuutal and still trying to be catchy and "light" enough to get those listeners who don't quite like death metal. The clean vocals aren't very strong. They sound a little hollow and the melody isn't very catchy. The riff at the beginning is pretty good and it starts off pretty intense. Thought I was in for a real brutal treat. Only problem is that it is tough to win over the brutal crowd when you are softening up for the lighter listeners too.

The ending was pretty lame too with the bleeps. Not metal bro.

But who am I to judge. My criticism will probably label me as a troll. :D

I listened it through, but... These types of vocals don't go along well with this kind of music I think.

Listen to Northern Kings, they have pretty much the same sounding vocalist, but the music is a lot different (covers of pop songs) and it goes along so much better.

i honestly liked a lot! it reminds me a lot of firewind (the vocals are almost identical).
sounds very good in my ears, keep it on going!!

I actually liked the clean vocals, they go well with the music, and are done well. The harsh vocals, on the other hand, don't really fit, I think sth like screams more than growls would work better. Or maybe get rid of harsh vocals altogether and just do clean all the way, maybe with some clean back vocals (like the chorus in The Gauntlet, that was good).

Also, doesn't sound much like Bodom to me. More like Scar Symmetry and even a bit in the direction of power metal. Good effort nonetheless.

Thanks alot guys! Yeah its kind of hard to classify our music, its kind of a weird mashup of all the stuff we've liked over the years.

And yes Ben, it is
Just temporary though, a friend is going to host it.
Oh and also, showed all the guys in the band your Bach Double vid. They thought it ruled!

I really liked it. I have a pretty eclectic taste in music, and dig the different metal genres represented by your band. Power metal, melodic death, some speed and maybe a tint of thrash. I will agree with some of the comments that some of the intro music, like on Hall Of Nightmares had me expecting a sound a little more heavy on the death metal side. That being said, you seem to blend the vocal styles quite well, as someone else said, like Scar Symmetry. Some of the clean vocals remind me of Noctural Rites, too. Definitely dig the music (badass guitar playing) and the melodic and guttural vocals combine nicely. Well done...keep it up and good luck! \m/

The song I was most impressed with was "Wreckage Of The Damned." This 4th track had a really special and inspired feel to it. Very touching lead guitar playing :) I do feel it could have taken a few more passages and turns and shifts/key changes or anything to freshen it up a bit. I also agree w/ Crzy Aus, I liked the clean vox. And I too would like to hear some more screams. For example, in Hall Of Nightmares, that chorus could have used screams as opposed to growls. However, good times for growls in this music IMO would be more for doubling low-volume behind the cleans during verses, and just as bursts of br00t, but not as much whole phrases.
