Thank you! As for the pickup situation, I was on a bit of a tight budget. Having one is by no means better, but this particular EMG model is based on the Stingray humbucker, so it's capable of flyin' solo and is actually two pickups in one. It comes with basic circuitry (just tone and volume controls) and pulling up the volume control switches between the single coil and double coil pickups.

I also placed it slightly more towards the bridge, because I like that bright sound, especially on a fretless. Really, it's just personal taste.
