Hey everyone,
I have recently finished recording my debut album, titled 'The Theory.' The overall style of music on the album, would probably fit into the ambient progressive rock category, taking on influences from Pink Floyd, to Vai, to Mike Oldfield, to electronic music, all with a classical edge.
I have a couple of tracks from the album, up at my Myspace page:
http://www.myspace.com/garflord
The first track there, is the title track of my album, 'The Theory', and is very much in an ambient Pink Floyd style, with some classical influences, before moving into hard rock. It's about 10 minutes long, so it's got a classic prog rock length.
The next track, is called 'Cross of Fire,' and is a straight up and down Guitar Instrumental in the veign of Steve Vai/Slash, and with a touch of Boston in the mix.
The third track is 'Majestic 12,' and would probably fit nicely into the prog metal category, I also stuck and Yngwie/MAB style solo in the outro.
The final track on the page, is called 'The End.' Again this one has a Pink Floyd vibe, with a few dire straits moments, and then a couple of Paul Gilbert style solos toward the end, with some progressive heavy riffage.
I also have preview clips from the whole album at my website:

Hope people have a chance to check my music out.
Enjoy
Regards,
Garfo.
