My Drummer's Kick Sample

Won't let me download because I am not a member.

Why do people still even use Rapidshare or Megashare or any of these other hosting sites when there is Dropbox?

wow, there's an impressive amount of low end in that kick! You know what this would fit for? Born of Osiris type of music, that techy death stuff. Wouldn't need much processing other than taming the low end a bit :D

Thanks for sharing!

I'm not a huge fan of BOO lol but yeah I love that kick, it actually came as funny to me seeing a kit typically seen used in tamer music styles producing such a powerful metal sound

that is a pretty damned sweet kick...has that open/boomy sort of sound that for whatever reason i always have a tough time capturing

thanks for sharing!!!! :kickass:

You're welcome kurtz! if interested i can get you exact details on how to achieve that sound from the kick from him, it's all in the way he sets everything up cuz like i said its just mic'd though the sound hole on the resonant head with a beta 52 and no processing

yea any details would be much appreciated...i was dicking around earlier with the samples, and i love how they have a massive low end that manages to not be all flubby. this kick also seems to take EQ really well, too...even with a huge boost around 2-4k, the attack still sounded natural, even if it was a bit annoying haha

This is his setup on his kick.. I'll get pictures at our show tonight of it but alot of it also has to do with his ability to properly tune a drum =)

rock on...sounds like the guy actually takes pride in(and knows what the fuck) he's doing

pretty much every drummer i've had to track has come in with some beat up-ass frankenkit with decade old heads and cracked cymbals
