Got my first job,

Recording this band in my home studio,

Any pointers welcome, the band are very happy with what it sounds like in my control room and their stereos.

What do you guys think?

Deffinatly louder guitars, and snare, bit less kick?

having some problems with drummagog and his kick you'll see.

Alex

vocals are being done tomorrow on it and i'll make some changes overall.

Any feedback is welcome, i'm new ot this game you guys aren't, i need the tips!

I've recorded bands before, but not metal ;)

Okay... my take.

Everything sounds nice so far, here are some pointers though:

- Bring up those guitars, drums are loud, but i think the guitars could be a bit louder.
- Drums sound dry, maybe add a group track to add some reverb to those toms and snare.
- try compressing the toms and snare as well for a "wet" sound.

Here are my suggestions:

-Reverb on snare
-Drums are too loud, especially OH, snare and HH. I think a louder kick isn't a bad thing,
-Bring up guitars volume

I think it has some good potential. Post and update with the vox and updated mix.

That's hard to tell from here roozor... just go from extreme compression to gently bringing it to lower compression, see if you can find that sweet spot.
