I must be doing something wrong, when I use that impulse it doesn't sound nearly as good as when Gareth used it.
Includes a play with awesometime, and a play with the trusty higher presence engl

Neither clip sounds that great...but the engl does sound a bit better. (if someone can tell me what I'm fucking up please do)

Yes...yes it is. Please completely ignore those two tracks though..I'm going to replace them in the next 5 minutes.
I just compared my blackmore's EQing to Ola's savage EQing and realised I EQed my amp horribly wrong
Going to re-eq those 2 tracks to match Ola's, should give a better idea.

Ok, here it is. Re-EQed the preamp outs to match those I got from Ola...
Again, with this brand new awesometime impulse...and the other with the good'oll trusty ENGLv30 higher presence. Both are double tracked.

Rly? I thought they were actually undergained....lead is only at 6 with a very mild OD boost.
In any case...I don't think we should talk blackmore here, don't want to Hijack the thread xd

Messing around with 'em, sound great dude - much clearer and less stuffy than my Stiletto impulses, which is exactly what I expected from the Recto cab!

It's channel 3 of my dual rectifier, into Boogex, with a high/low pass, and the BBE sonic maximiser plugin on it as well. The riffs are from one of the songs of my demo album that is nearly done and will be able to be listened to by everyone here.

Here's my first test with it. Mesa DR 3-channel into Voxengo with the impulse. Very little post-eq..just a high pass and slight 5k boost.

Alright, so I just re-eqed the tracks after the impulse response. Wow...when I use curveEQ to match all my output EQs...the awesometime impulse retains more clarity than the englv30 higher presence impulse.
I haz been an idiot wondering why so many impulses sounded absolutely horrible, when their EQing was all fucked up.
In any case...awesometime ROCKS!

Dude i prefer the old versions BIG TIME !!!
And actually the old one with Poidabi's ENGL impulse sounds AWESOME to me !
