My last DI question

I have come to the conclusion that I am going to get a DI box. Preferebly the country man due to the high 10Mohm impedance. But....I also have access to a Digidesign 002 mixer which has an input impedance of 10Mohm and an output impedance of 50 Ohm. It would be in stand alone mode as a DI box into my line input on my interface rated at 4.8Kohm balanced input impedance. Would this mixer work as a decent DI box?


{EDIT} It would be in standalone mode due to me not having firewire port. and the link is the rack version, I actually have the mixer version which has the same specs except it has faders.

I would not want to use the 002 as a DI to be honest. The preamps on that thing sound absolutely awful!
