My last production, info&pics inside

Hey! So I thought it would be a great idea to share the details of my latest recording, It will be realised at least nationally and here we go!

Well, now I´ll elaborate:

DRUMS

Kick --> D6 --> Chandler Germanium
SN --> i5 --> API
Toms --> D2&D4&Sm57 --> API
Oh´s --> AKG 214 & TBone pencil --> Audient ASP008
Triggers --> Saffire preamps

In the mix, everything´s acoustic, except kick and Sn that are blended with Slate samples.
Procesing in Sonar X1 every part independently, in the new incredible pro channel, drums are Eq´d and Compressed, then routed to a bus with SSL Comp in there, a pultec style EQ and a clipper.

As you can see in the picture, I used 5150&Krank for Rhythms, 5150 for leads, and Krank for cleans. That was the first time I use a Krank, and it surprised me a lot.
Cab was a standar mesa with v30, miced with to audix i5 in fredman position into API. I added Akg 214 to the other upper cone when I recorded leads and cleans.

Processing was HF&LF, Eq´ed in a different way each amp, 5150 with more body&bass more in the KSE&Gojira wave, and the Krank, more defined in a Machine Head wave...I made two buses for each amp, each of them had Waves C4&V-Eq and Sonnor inflator.

Sounds great dude, well done! Could just be though / not used to my new monitors but here the "s" sounds are really jumping out of the vocal. (More than likely new monitors, got myself some MSP7's! )

Off topic question. I already have sonar x1 but still working in 8.5. How is it working for you?

I switched from 8 to X1, and to be honest, it´s worth it!! Funciona muy bien, sin duda haría el upgrade, saludos!!
