whoops missed your question...

about plans, no nothing in particular, this is rapidly becoming my least favorite time of year. In the US traditionally the Christmas shopping season starts today, the day after thanksgiving. stores have huge sales, open early, etc.
when my alarm went off at 6:00 a.m., the traffic reporter mentioned that the Walmart on the west side of the city's parking lot was already 75% full, with a line of customers all along the front of the building waiting to get in! also, the pushy moms, their whiney snot nosed laundromat kids, it all combines into a hellish stew of misery.
I'm not a point by point Christian but I fear most of these people have lost sight of what the holiday is supposed to be for.

So Ultima: got any plans for X-mas?:lol: are you expecting any certain visitors, or are you perhaps going on a small excursion to a sun-drenched mediteranean nation?;) :)

I know what you mean. Unfortunately, the christmas shit started here about 3 weeks ago, lots of adverts on tv and radio, shops have had all their christmas displays up, and the streets are lined with banners and whatnot.
Even some houses have their decorations up already, too. Frankly, it's pretty disgusting.
Thank god (or my common sense, thus far) that I don't have any little sprogs. This way I can pretty much avoid all the shopping madness. Besides, most of my gift buying is focused on purchasing cd's for people.
I always love the way people who I give gifts to say "oh great......another cd, Lee."

And, yeah, I'll be heading over to Italy to see Val on the 19th and returning on the 7th. It should be a very good holiday season this year :)
