Hey!

Take a listen to my latest mixes, they're here: http://www.ruinside.com/music.html

To Only Kill for Sport - 4 tracks.
HUMAN GODHOOD EXACERBATION
TO ONLY KILL FOR SPORT
INNER VOICE
ANIMAL SIDE

The band is called Ruinside (trash/heavy-metal). I re-amped the guitars, mixed and "mastered" the whole thing. (I refuse to call it proper mastering, that is an art unto itself). The guys recorded everything else by themselves. The vocals are doubled and apparently recorded in a not-so-good room, you can hear it.

Try and guess the amps used! :Spin: 4 tracks, 2 each side with the second tracks just supporting the main sound (something like -6dB?) Krank cabinet, one sm57 into a TG-2 -> digi002. What else.. oh yeah there's some RAT on some lead tracks thrown in there.. I love that pedal :)

Some familiar drum samples were used.

Fire away! :hotjump:

I like it a lot.

Guitars do sound tight and not overgained, which i like.

It is very clear sounding but not sterile... it has attitude and fits the band's music very well.

Nice job.

No idea about the amp though... Tell us goddamnit ! :)

Yeah, ok. On the left side is Krank Revolution Series 1 and on the right is the Engl Powerball. Sorry, can't remember the settings, but on the Krank the settings were what the player dialed in and we tried to match the Engl so that their sounds wouldn't be too far off. There was a TubeScreamer in there aswell on the rhythms.

Oh yeah, the drummer is left-handed and I mixed from the audience perspective.

Thanks. I didn't expect the amps to be those. It's gonna shut the mouth of those who think the PB and the Rev1 can only do metal. BTW a friend of min is using the PB for some Foo Fighter-ish band, with a kinda crunhy rythm guitar tone, and it sounds badass.
