My Mix!!! Have at it..... Heavy Stuffz

john, just wondering if you knwo what amp/cab models were used on the HD147?

also, what H&K amp was used? Reason im asking, ive been looking into the H&K (Warp X) but i dont know a single person/shop who has H&K gear.

im all about flashy amps, so i figure H&K = Tubes AND Flashyness = win win win

The hughes and kettner was a triamp. I think that thing is awesome...IMO!

As far as the Line 6, It took me lets say around 2-3 hours of messing with the the models and cab setting to reach the final tone. Im not such a fan of the line 6 stuff as much as I used to be. The settings? hmmm God its too much info to remember for that set-up..... I'd lean more towards the H&K amp
if I were to purchase either one.

Thanks for the interest...

Hmmmm.... the whole mix is fantastic, but I'm not much fan of the guitar sound. Don't get me wrong, they are very well produced, but just not my cup of tea. The rest of it sounds killer!

Thanks for the kind wordz folks! I have a new project in the workz I think you'll all love very old school - Entombed/Dismember meets Morgoth, late 80's early 90's sweedish metal!!!! Holy moly I think I pooped myself - Were using ENGL powerballs and 5150's for the guitar tones - I YI YI!!!!

yea, i like the mix and the over all tones a lot. good job man! did you do much to the guitars in computer? i.e. compression, eq'ing etc? also one last thing (thanks for the help ;)), how many guitar tracks were recorded and what panning did you use?

i have a hd147, and im going to have to record it in the next couple of weeks, so trying to get a feel of its strengths and weeknesses. i have a good live tone, which i think matched up well to my old 5150 (which i sold due to having a nearly exact match from the hd147), but i dont know if it'll record well. ill keep you posted. however, the warp x is looking verryyyyy tempting, either that or the trilogy. the triamp is a litttle too expensive for me haha.

As far as the Proccesing of the guitars, it was mainly a boost in the high mids (4kish) and a cut at about 80 hz and below thats it no compression! There were 2 of each gtrs. left and right. 100% pan of one and 80% as usual for the other.

Just look out for the treble and and pressence on the HD147 - Its all about finding the right balance of the two I believe that patch I used had the mids about 1-2 o clock and the treble and pressence were about 1 oclock give or take. The amp volume was @ 10 oclock and the patch volume was around 3 oclockish.... Im sorry I wish I could be more helpful with the memory of settings, watch your lowend there too..... bass was pretty damn low. and I didnt use any form of the built in compression.:kickass:
