My comrades...

I grew up with this movies and I still love the classics. Especially "the spy who loved me" and "moonraker" (despite the ridiculous space battle at the end). I also like the scores of John Barry a lot. Imo an awesome composer! Any James Bond fans here?

I wanna start the thread with a question. What do you think, is the best James Bond song? There are awesome songs from Tina Turner, Paul McCartney, Shirley Bassey for example. My personal fave is Lulu (The Man with the Golden Gun 1974). It sound 70´s as hell  Pure nostalgia!

James Bond is the man - Goldfinger was great - my favorite Bond movie. After I saw that I started reading all the Ian Fleming novels. Bond comes across really good in the written form. I also liked some of the John Gardner Bond books after Ian Fleming's death.

Little side note - Ian Fleming also wrote one of my favorite stories when I was a child - Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

I enjoyed the old movies when I was a kid but now they look really dated. The Pierce Brosnan movies were just mindless action movies. The two last with Daniel Craig are much better. Especially casino royal, it's one of the best action movies ever.

I gotta go against the grain a bit, my favourite is actually GoldenEye. I thought that Brosnan was pretty much the perfect match for the Bond character. Sadly, his latter Bond films weren't that good IMHO.

Seriously slash, I thought Brosnan was the ultimate bond, and "Goldeneye" was just fantastic IMO. "Tomorrow Never Dies" was eh, "The World is not Enough" was pretty crap IMO, but I thought "Die Another Day" had its moments. Beyond that, I've seen bits and pieces of a ton of the older Bond movies on TV over the years, but still a decent amount of them all the way through as well ("For Your Eyes Only" comes to mind, that's a good one, even if Moore was so cheesy with everything he did  )

Oh, and I really didn't like "Casino Royale", half the time I felt like I was watching the fucking World Series of Poker, and from all that I heard about Quantum of Solace sucking the big one, I didn't even bother seeing it

Woohooo, I'm not alone. :D

"CR" was okay... but really... "QoS" sucked hard, I regret having spent money on that.

So true, Marcus, so true :D But he got his kind of charme.

The weirdest James Bond of all is clearly "Diamonds are forever". What a strange Bond Movie..holy shit, with this two gay evil ones.

Goldeneye is great (especially Xenia Onatop) all Movies came after Goldeneye was pretty..bääääh! Except Casino Royal, I like this Movie a lot. Quantum of solace is SHIT imo!

The best of all James Bond Movies...hmmmm difficult, but I´d say "Goldfinger". All people I know, bashing "Licence to kill" but I really like this brutal Movie.

"oh, it's you Pussy" that line cracks me up every time.

oddly enough, my favorite bond song is by duran duran (view to a kill), the one that goes [kaboom] "dance! into the fi-ya, that fatal kiss is all we neeeeed!"

I saw lawrence juber of wings play at a coffee shop, and he played his rendition of the james bond theme - sounded cool on his acoustic. i forget which movie he recorded the theme song for though.

since I grew up in the 80s mostly, I'm more of a roger moore guy. for your eyes only is my all-time favorite bond movie. love the skiing scenes, and that little blonde skater is just hot.

Wow, this is great! "Live and let die" is the movie you searching for, I guess :)

I'm not very fan of Bond but I enjoy the movies 'cause there is always great cars, georgeous girls, action... what else can a man ask for?

My fav song is the one from Chris Cornell.
