my newest latest work, maybe my best

hi, i've been lookin on these forums for awhile (this is my first post)
I guess that's been broken because this is such an amazing mix...holy crap...great job bro.

is everything on the drums real?
so samples or anything?

what specifically did you do to get that in your face drum sound?

i have a lot of work to do :(

i think it sound fantastic!!!First class production
(but I was listening on a laptop;)

The vocals are realy outstanding. (I just want exactly know how you did this fantastic emo sound)

your productions have the same style adam D. have.

Do you know A DAY TO REMEMBER ?

I think your mix sounds a bit like it

This is a very first class production!!!

I think your one of the talents in this forum:notworthy

drums were recorded in a small room
with two overheads 3 feet over the cymbals pointing STRAIGHT down on axis with the cymbals

one mono room mic, 6 feet in front of the kick

the kick, snare, and tom direct mic's were replaced with samples
the rest of the sound comes from the overheads and room mics
actual drum sounds had to be replaced due to heated wooden hoops
warping and lugs getting loose causing heads to never stay in tune
for the entire song.

we didnt record to a click track or use any kind of digital fixing
its just straight up the whole band rocking out at the same time
then overdubs

WOW! 1st question and already shot down! is this Gearslutz?

Yea a de-esser, but different producers, artists, engineers , have different ways of doing things, he's maybe eqing, de-essing, sidechaning, or using a particular type of chain or de-esser, who knows, I like his work, i thought it wouldn't hurt if i asked.

We are all living and learning, thats all.

... But bumping an old topic to ask? For christ's sakes the man's already discussed 99% of his fucking workflow really in depth, I wouldn't be surprised if he's put up fucking de-esser settings for the world to rip off already.
We aren't gearslutz, we just don't like people asking questions that have already been fucking answered. And we don't like it when people bump up ancient topics either.
