I think you've done an awesome job considering the timescale. The problem I would have if I were in your situation is this - you've told us about how little time you had to mix it and most are listening bearing that in mind ie sympathetically. If it's being put out with your name on it other listeners won't have that perspective.
Perhaps you should suggest to the band that they either delay release until you're back and can have a better crack at it, or ask for your name to be removed from the credits. If you've already been paid it shouldn't be too big a deal right? It depends how much of the right kind of exposure you think you'll get from this.
