My Redriven by Fate review

Hey Matt,

Why don't you guys get your CDs sold at Amazon? Is it too much of a hassle or are there other reasons?

Never looked into it, but I suppose I should. Do you know how to go about it?

Have no idea. But lots of indie bands such as Eyestrings, Sonus Umbra, Kurgan's Bane, Tandjent and others at least have their names up there. I don't think you'd have to send them like 50 CDs. Maybe just a few but when they're sold out you'll still be listed there. And some customers may write reviews (I know I would). In my experience of the last 5-6 years of reading reviews over there, some of the stuff that gets posted at Amazon is a lot more convincing and valued by customers than some "pro" critics' thoughts at various websites. Besides, chances of getting your name heard are a lot higher over there as well.

I'd suggest emailing their customer service. Try community-help@amazon.com explaining them you're a band member and would like to have your CD sold at their website. I'm sure they'll get back to you.

I did, and I got an email back the other day. Basically, you have to buy some type of membership that is $40 a year or so. I need to read into it a little more, but I'll keep you posted!
