my very first mixing approach

I just started my very first attempt to do some mixing and would be more than happy to get some opinions and/or criticizm on this...

Hey, thats not bad for a first go.

I could suggest you try and get a little more clarity between the percussion and the guitars... the drums seem a bit tucked in behind the guitars at the moment.

The guitars seem a little thin.

There's allot of noise on the guitar, you could use a noise gate or you could notch it out using an EQ (the notch would leave the dynamics alone.)

@Razorjack: I gave the noise gate a try, but it seems to me that it "softens" too much the guitar tone - as the guitars are supposed to sound a bit "harsh".
I'm also considering cutting a bit of the low-end in the kick, isn't it a bit "boomy"?
